ARTIST STATEMENT

“In my work, I am primarily interested in giving access to not readily accessible realities.  That is to suggest other ways of seeing the mystery and magic inherent in everything.  The world is emblematic.  Lately, I have been obsessed with trees as a reflection of self, relationships, sexuality and divinity.  I see my work as a process of contemplation and discovery with nature as the subject for a synthesis of inner experience and transformation.  Or, as Arthur Dove once said, ‘Maybe the world is a dream and everything in it is yourself.’”
